Conscious Competence and Business Training
The "Hand of Power": Executive Education for Everyone
Get a Grip on the Future
Executive means executing or “getting the job done”. Usually the job is done with and through others. Sometimes we work alone. Internally, within ourselves, or externally with others, or both, alignment is crucial. The premise of conscious competence training, the "Hand of Power", is that you are the boss of your life and of all the responsibilities, great and small, that are part of what you want in life. The executive framework, or thought system, and courses of action to make your vision of the future manifest are covered in the "Hand of Power". It is the same pattern for the executive and the clerk. The only difference is scale. "Hand of Power" integrates the physics of movement, biology of birth and growth, psychology of need, sociology of relationships, and creative spirituality. You will be more conscious and competent as you execute after this complete presentation. "Hand of Power" covers all the pieces of life that effect us. Whether great or small, rich or poor, powerful or less so, this is for you. The value of this Executive approach for everyone is that everyone has the full opportunity and supportive “Employee Engagement” tools to bring out the best contribution in everyone committed to the values of the company. I've lived this "Hand of Power" journey of growth and bring the best personal, business, spiritual, and scholarly information to you in the "Hand of Power".
The framework starts with the idea of empowerment. Empowerment is created through consciousness. Consciousness is the state of a person becoming aware of their own “voice” and the context of the world around them. After hearing their own voice they need to do five things:
1.
Start moving toward the world they desire (Time or “movement” management)
2.
Go in the right direction (Goal Management)
3.
Go with the right people (Relationship Management)
4.
Go even when there is opposition (Conflict Management)
5.
Be creative, communicate at all levels, and analyze numbers and story (Strategic Management)
Following the five steps above, once our own voice is heard, we begin to “move” in a “direction”, with “friends”, regardless of “enemies”, and we can make a plan and monitor progress. Everything else is just “industry knowledge”. Regardless of industry, these apply at the foundational level. Each individual is a unique but integral contributor who can hear and recognize their own inner voice, or “I”, and be fully motivated for themselves and for their work.
Consciousness? I can guess that the idea of consciousness entering into basic business training is “suspect” to say the least to business persons who want to make a difference in performance and profit. Let me ask you, “If I can align the deep desires of you or your team, remove distracting thoughts through consciousness training, and empower them to in ways that go beyond what you already call “high performance”, would that be a good thing?”
“Of course, but how does it work?”, you might ask me.
Here is how. Consciousness is what makes us human. It is an ability that when aligned with all life experience, also known as “sense-making”, we are without any distraction and ready to function powerfully. Consciousness is not automatic. It requires education and understanding.
The best way to understand consciousness is for me to present it to you. I invite you to fill out my contact form and download the most fundamental program of “Time Management” and learn about how we move and exactly what “Time Consciousness” is. There is no other program like it except for the other four areas I already mentioned:
Goal Management
Relationship Management
Conflict Management
Strategic Management.
So, go to the contact page, and get the Time Management publication for free.
All the best,
Jim
Organizational and Consciousness Development
After you and your team go through the Executive Education for Everyone program we go on to Organizational Development. This is a systems approach and many people do not even know what an organizational system is. Toward that end, I offer the following simple map and ask you ask me for a simple explanation. Note: If your Organizational Development person cannot explain the process of systems simply, it is unlikely they can also make any system they present work. I don't mean to demean anyone or any process but the idea of Occam razor remains: "All things being equal, the simplest explanations tend to be the correct one." See the MAP as a place to start understanding.
